Job Title: Fleet Lube Tech

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions:

  • Perform PM services (oil changes, tire changes, tire mounting and balancing, grease fittings, change light bulbs, etc.) on vehicles

  • Perform PM services on equipment

  • Small engine repairs

  • Assist mechanics on larger repairs

  • Learn and develop skills to move up to mechanic position

  • Perform any other duty or assignment as may be required from time to time by their supervisor

  • Document records of service and repair work on all trucks and equipment

Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Ability to write simple correspondence

  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to use smartphone apps to document and close out work orders

Work Environment:

  • Work around equipment that is loud and noisy

  • Work indoors and outdoors

  • Work around moving equipment

Physical Demands:

  • Stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Use fingers, hands, and arms to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects

  • Work on uneven surfaces and various heights, with fall protection

  • See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)

  • Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

  • N/A

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • One year of related experience

  • Ability to pass DOT physical

  • Class C Driver’s License (Class A or B beneficial)
