Job Title: Construction Laborer
Location: Lawrenceville, GA; Cartersville, GA; Holly Springs, GA; Carrollton, GA

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: The Construction Laborer position will be involving physical labor on the jobsite. The laborer provides support to the crew by digging, cleaning, preparing, and other general assistance. At the discretion of management, the construction laborer has the opportunity to follow the Path of Progression to become a construction operator or construction fuser.

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Dig trenches as instructed and assist in installing pipes

  • Ensure project is compliant with industry standards

  • Ensure work is being performed safely and with company standards

  • Able to provide general crew support

  • Clean debris and trash from the jobsite and maintain an organized work space

  • Prepare ground ditches for pipe to be laid; spread and level dirt upon completion

Requirements:

  • Understand underground utility construction

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests

  • Must be able to maintain a work schedule and be dependable

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds and stand for four (4) hour periods of time

  • Must be able to perform strenuous labor under poor or less than ideal field conditions

  • Must be able to quickly move arms and legs and abdominal and lower back muscles

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of natural gas utility construction

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
