Job Title: Construction Pipe Fuser
Location: Lawrenceville, GA; Holly Springs, GA; Carrollton, GA

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: The Construction Fuser is responsible for fusing pipe together during the installation process. The fuser supports the crew by joining pipe and providing general physical labor when needed.

Scope & Responsibilities:

• Join pipe together via fusion, electrofusion, and mechanical joints.

• Verify work performed and completed meets quality requirements

• Ensure work is being performed safely and within company standards

Requirements:

• Understand underground utility construction

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests

• Must possess extensive knowledge of the work involved and the ability to resolve problems with appropriate decision making

• Must be able to pass required fusion tests and maintain certification

• Must be able to maintain a work schedule and be dependable

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds and stand for four (4) hour periods of time

• Must be able to perform strenuous labor under poor or less than ideal field conditions

• Must be able to quickly move arms and legs and abdominal and lower back muscles

Preferred:

• Knowledge of natural gas utility construction

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills
